My Holes Were Empty 24x12 | Also Available in Limited Edition Prints
Vintage photo from the early 1900s, Seaside, Oregon of family clam digging with horse drawn wagon on the beach. The historic is transferred to the canvas and then greens are hand-painted around it. Below the image is an excerpt from poem by Robert Louis Stevenson called Sea-Side. "My holes were empty like a cup. In every hole the sea came up. Until it could come no more." Edges are painted dark espresso brown. Artwork is ready to hang. The painting is signed and dated on the back. This style of painting is excellent for beach cottage, French country, transitional, or shabby chic decor style.
