“I created these wallpapers to bring the outdoors in and help clients integrate biophilia into their building or home.”

Bring nature into any space with beautiful hand-painted wallpaper by Janelle Baglien.  Inspired by Oregon spring days, the design will bring a fresh, colorful pop to any room or corridor.  Created with watercolor and India ink, the scenic wallpaper balances abstraction with impressions of animal and plant life on a sunny day.  Soft swaths of colors in green, yellow, orange, pink, and blue are punctuated by nature inspired drawings and patterns in black calligraphy style India ink.

For homeowners, this wallpaper is an excellent choice for a child’s bedroom or nursery.

For public art installations, the wallpaper can be integrated into the architecture and contribute to wellness.  Based on research in Evidence Based Design and Neuroaesthetics, the designs are very purposeful in composition, color and lyrical movement.  The effect is scientifically proven to improve wellbeing.  The abstraction of the background watercolor juxtaposed against the small patterns and drawings with the India Ink allow the viewer lots of room to discover new or hidden elements each and every day while not creating a puzzle too hard for our brains to solve.  This type of experience can actually lower blood pressure and reduce heart rates in humans.

The wallcovering is non-repeating and can cover walls up to 50’0” long. The material is low VOC, PVC free, sustainable 30 oz cotton/poly blend that is durable and thicker than most luxury line wallcoverings.  It is printed with UV protected archival pigment ink to prevent fading.  Panels are 48” wide and install with the traditional pasted method.
